To nurture curiosity, ignite imagination and cultivate creativity and learning through hands-on exploration.

DiSC's vision

Exhibits and programs exploring science, technology, the arts, history and culture will be multi-sensory -- making them accessible to all children including those with disabilities.

The Discovery Space assumes a coordinating role with other partnering organizations in the community and the Penn State University Park campus for providing programming to support children’s discovery and learning.

DiSC's philosophy

The Discovery Space of Central Pennsylvania strongly believes that play is an essential part of a child’s “work.”

Through use of imaginative environments, children are provided with a gateway of opening their minds to developing new abilities, building confidence and making connections between their dreams and their real world experiences.
